(Under Construction) On May 7th 45141 worked a roundtrip Leicester - Carlisle day excursion throughout, with an all Mark 1 equipped 13 coach set. Even as the The Class 45s working lives drew to a close, they were still able to handle the occasional Midland Mainline workings. On July 8th 45037 worked the 15.30 Derby - St Pancras and the 18.20 return to Derby, whilst on July 11th 45107 worked the 07.12 Derby St Pancras. On July 9th 45037 worked the 1E48 10.15 Skegness - Sheffield. Noted at York in service on July 2nd were 45046 & 45110. 45046 would be the last Class 45/0 to be switched off. |
